#the red wedding was an overreaction but it didn’t come from nothing

I just have to comment on this cause it put me in a tizzy (lets not forget that I am 100% bias towards the starks and I don’t give 2 shits about the freys but STILL)

a MASSACRE is an overreaction? I’m not sure what you mean by that to be honest. thousands of northmen, Catelyn, and a 16 year old boy king deserved to die because he married someone other than a frey? Of everything bad that could have happened to the Freys while fighting this war, THIS IS WHY THE RED WEDDING IS PLOTTED? OK. Walder Frey wasn’t pissed because his kin was dying. He was pissed because his daughter/granddaughter wouldn’t be Queen in The North which would grant him a higher place on the nobility chart. but it’s okay… he just overreacted.

let’s not forget the MOCKERY after the massacre was over. They didn’t just murder them. They made fun of them afterwards. Who the fuck knows what else happened to Robb’s body since it’s never mentioned again. 

after the battle, the Freys cut off Robb’s head along with Grey Wind’s, Robb’s direwolf. In a mockery of Robb’s relationship with his direwolf, the Freys sewed Grey Wind’s head onto Robb’s decapitated body. Lady Catelyn Stark had her throat slit and was later thrown naked into the river in a mockery of House Tully funeral customs.

I’d say it’s way more than a fucking overreaction, homie.

Also, I’d like to mention the freys have had more deaths in their family AFTER the red wedding than they ever did before.

Since the Red Wedding, several of Lord Walder Frey’s kin have been killed either by the Brotherhood Without Banners, Northmen (such as Wyman Manderly, or the “Ghost of Winterfell”) in retaliation. Perhaps ironically, more Freys have died due to the repercussions of the Red Wedding than during the War of the Five Kings.
